We are starting a series of articles about how we see business in Web3 from different points of view.
In this document, we would like to discuss with your possible ways to earn money being an OptriSpace community member. In our opinion, there are several steps to achieve the following goals:
- Build a community-driven decentralized platform;
- Earn money providing value to community members;
- Bring other people to the OptriSpace and get paid for this;
- Monetize your digital assets;
- Build your own business in OptriSpace.
Our vision
Step 1. Build zero commission fee platform – utopia
When we started working on OptriSpace, our first idea was to get rid of all commission fees and it was working great. But it would not allow people to earn money and build their own business on the platform in the future. Let’s discuss in detail.
Who can get value at step 1?
Only freelancers (by providing value to their customers and getting paid in crypto) and customers (by getting their tasks done through freelancers). In the zero commission fee model there are no chances to earn extra money and build business. Why?
Zero commissions == No digital assets == No shareable profit.
In this scenario there are no ways to earn money being, for example, a recruiter, a sales manager, or a node owner.
However, someone could find a possible way to earn money by uploading videos on YouTube, writing articles or sending search traffic to OptriSpace using their own partner code, because they are 100% professionals in this kind of activity. Other people may have a bunch of colleagues or contacts and they can possibly earn money by inviting those people to OptriSpace. Another buddy may want to translate our frontend to a Spanish or Portuguese language and earn money recommending his own frontend node to their community.
All of these people can use their own partner code in OptriSpace to “attach” other people to their own account and digitalize their database as an asset, which allows them to earn money. All of us are partners in OptriSpace! We want to let these people earn money not for just doing some tasks (because it may be boring in the long term and it will also not increase their cash flow). How can we resolve this?
Step 2. Introduce lowest commission fees to let community members share OptriSpace’s profit
In this step, we would like to add commission fees. It should not be that much in comparison with existing freelance platforms (they may charge up to ~30%). And how much would we charge? It depends on DAO members’ decision (via voting mechanism), maybe from 1 to 5%. All this money will be used to pay for bringing new features to OptriSpace and sharing these commissions with the participants.
The introduction of commissions on the platform will help to form an additional pool of assets, which will be divided among the members of the community in proportion to the value that each of them has brought. In this step, the main objective is to grow a community consisting of active, strong and qualified participants. In this regard, the main value that can be brought to the platform is to increase the number of people using the platform (e.g., freelancers, customers).
Thus, at this step, the remuneration from the pool of assets will be distributed proportionally among:
- Owners of the nodes through which the active users came;
- Owners of the nodes that conducted the transactions;
- Partners whose partner codes brought users;
- Founders of the platform.
This scheme will help the platform grow and reward those who helped it to happen.
Step 3. Digitalize assets and build your own business in OptriSpace
This is the most interesting step that we want to make together.
There is no concept of a digital asset in existing platforms. More precisely, of course, the platform itself that provides services is a digital asset, but only the creators own it.
The world of Web3 allows us to reconsider this and implement digital assets for participants, so that each member of the community can earn extra money by selling their data or business inside the digital platform.
In the previous step we learned what it could be like and how you can do your business inside the platform, and in this step you will be able to sell a share of it or the whole asset, because the mechanism that makes your business a digital asset is initially embedded into the platform.
There will be three layers of assets:
- Tokens proving the ownership of the node;
- NFTs proving the ownership of partner code.
Selling these assets will be as easy as sending the cryptocurrency from one wallet to another.
And it will be interesting not only for the guys, who started their own business like having nodes or partner codes. You will be allowed to create NFTs with your personal data (it could be interesting both for freelancers and customers) and sell them, if you are a topstar freelancer or customer with the cool tasks.
How is that possible?
Possible ways to earn money being a community member at each step
All roles listed below are applicable to any community member. You can be a freelancer, a customer, a recruiter or even community validator at the same time.
1. Freelancers
People who would like to earn money providing value to platform customers. We called these tasks “gigs” or “freelance tasks”. These are short-term tasks with a limited period of time (1 week, for example).
- Apply for tasks (gigs) and get paid by delivering results within these tasks.
- Sell access to your profile (contacts, work history, customers’ feedback, etc.)
2. Employees
People who are looking for a full-time job and ready to be paid on a weekly basis. Imagine that you will be able to find an amazing job around the world without any paperwork and middlemen.
- Sell access to your resumes (contacts, work history, customers’ feedback, etc.)
3. Recruiters
Recruiters are not middlemen or third parties on OptriSpace.
Rather, they are community members who know how to earn money by selling platform data.
- Apply for customer tasks (gigs) on OptriSpace to hire an employee or a freelancer for the customers.
- Bring freelancers and employees to the platform using your personal partner code.
Then earn money by selling access to their contacts to companies that you are working with on OptriSpace. - Sell out your own virtual business (your partner code) on the platform to someone who is interested in it.
4. Sales, Outsourcers
- Manage tasks on behalf of your customers from anywhere (other freelance platforms, etc.)
For example, you can publish a task that was originally estimated to cost $300 (1 BNB) at $200 and earn $100 as a service fee. - Sell out your own virtual business (your partner code) on the platform to someone who is interested in it.
5. Community Validators
Community validators are our community members with specific privileges to validate community members by performing some activities, like making Zoom calls, doing interviews, or something else to check people’s hard & soft skills. If these people get hired on OptriSpace, you will get paid.
- Validate community members’ profiles.
- Participate in interviews.
6. Node Owners (decentralized frontends)
Node owners allow our platform to work as a decentralized platform by using different domains. People who made their first transaction using your frontend will be assigned to your partner code forever.
How it would work: from the beginning, we would use only an English interface, but you could decide to run your own OptriSpace frontend and translate the interface to Spanish, French (or any language you want) and invite people from your country to work on OptriSpace.
- Earn money by bringing people (see 1-5 above) to the platform using your own OptriSpace’s frontend node.
7. DAO Members
- Share OptriSpace’s revenue being a DAO member as described in points 1-6 above + possible staking.
8. Franchise Owners
Run your own copy of OptriSpace to build your business (barbershops, nail service, delivery service, whatever-you-want service, etc.)
- Earn money as you want.
9. Investors
- Share revenue by investing your money in other people’s businesses on OptriSpace.
